The Good Schools Guide Advisory Service (GSGAS)

Good Schools Guide Advisory Service

I wanted to thank you for your superb and speedy help. I have recommended your service to loads of people already!' An Advisory Service Customer.

Do you want to find the best independent or state school? Do you need tailor-made help and advice to find the ideal school for your child?

The Good Schools Guide Advisory Service®, is a personalised service designed to help you choose the right boarding or day school for your child. The service  is provided by our most experienced editors, many of whom are parents like you, though some have been professionally involved with education; we offer access to independent, impartial advice on that basis. Just what you've been looking for? Read on...

The Good Schools Guide Advisory Service® is a consultancy run by The Good Schools Guide® to advise parents, on a one-to-one basis, on choosing the best schools for their children.

The Good Schools Guide is in a unique position to do this because its advisors have visited hundreds of schools over the past twenty years and have gathered an enormous reservoir of information and experience. The Guide is only a glimpse of this. We would be happy to put our knowledge and our wide network of personal contacts to work for you.

Not even the best school is perfect. Good schools differ enormously in what they offer and in the kind of child they suit best.

Our service can help you with:

  • Finding schools which are likely to suit your child
  • Inside information on what a particular school is really like
  • Suggesting good schools that you may not know about
  • Checking out specific schools for you
  • Information on strong specialist departments and unusual features
  • Suggestions on how to improve the chances of getting your child accepted by a school

Tell us what you need and we will tell you if we are able to help. All information is treated in the strictest confidence. We act as agent for our advisors and if we can help, the next step is for us to put you in touch directly with an appropriate advisor who will agree directly with you about a consultation in person or by email, fax or telephone. If we cannot refer you to an appropriate advisor, we may be able to suggest someone else who can meet your needs.

Our standard fee is £300. The advisor may suggest a higher or lower fee, which is between you and the advisor to agree in particular cases.

We will refund your fee if you are not entirely satisfied with the results.

Please read our Terms and Conditions before contacting us.
