Grammar Schools - Did They Do Well?

Grammar school resultsWe examined the 2009, 2010 and 2011 A-level and IB results of selective grammar schools to find out who tops the class.

Not all A-levels are deemed of equal value by leading universities. The table below shows the percentage of students who would have qualified for a place at Cambridge ie having the right grades in the right subjects.

Cambridge qualifying level is AA in Cambridge subjects plus a B in any other A-level (AAB). Cambridge subjects are those harder, traditional subjects eg maths not media, physics not psychology. For IB, where available the subject mix offered has been taken into account, otherwise 38+ points has been used.
