Introductory Advice Service
A 30 minute personal advice session on the telephone to help with queries and dilemmas of limited scope eg deciding between two schools or to answer questions on the basics of UK education. You will speak to one of our most experienced advisors.
The Introductory Service
This offers parents thirty minutes of one-to-one telephone conversation with one of The Good Schools Guide Advice Service’s most experienced advisors. The information you give the administrator in your initial telephone call or email will enable her to choose the best advisor for you. Typically parents use this service to:
- learn more about the basics of the UK education system
- help decide between offers of places at two or three schools
- learn more about admissions procedures to state schools in specific areas
- discuss a problem to do with their child’s school
- get quick advice in the case of urgent need eg a bullying problem
- but there is no set agenda. You use it for whatever would help you. Your introductory service advisor will not be able to help you find a school and will not be able to suggest schools that might meet your requirements as part of this service. For this you need the Standard Service or the Premier Service.
The fee for The Introductory Service is £120.
Many parents, having talked to their advisor, decide to upgrade to the Standard Service. The Standard Service fee is £545. The Introductory Service fee is then deducted from the Standard Service making a balance of £425.
