Premier Advice Service
Some clients have very particular needs and The Good Schools Guide Premier Service is designed to be entirely flexible and match these. Whatever your circumstances we will provide an unrivalled service to ensure your children are at the right schools for them.
The Premier Service
This is the best option for clients who, for example:
- are being relocated at very short notice and need schools within weeks
- have a family emergency that requires urgent and radical action
- are working full-time and need an advisor to do more for them than a Standard Service advisor would eg make appointments, visit schools, interview heads or other staff on their behalf
- are living overseas and need more support than families who are familiar with the UK system in eg learning about schools, applying for places, assessing and preparing their children to take entrance tests
- have two or more children who need different schools
- but any client will have their own individual requirements which may differ from these examples.
How does it work?
As with the Standard Service, our administrator takes your initial enquiry – whether by email or telephone. She then matches you with the most appropriate advisor from our team so you can have an initial conversation to discuss your needs. At this point she takes your credit card details but no money is taken until you and your advisor have agreed that the consultancy should go ahead.
You and your advisor make contact – usually by phone or Skype but, occasionally - especially if there is a big time difference – by email. You tell your advisor exactly what it is you need, you ask any questions you like and she will tell you how she can help. Once you have agreed that the consultancy will go ahead, your advisor will inform the administrator who will alert you that the fee will be deducted from your credit card. She will also send you a confirmation of exactly what you have agreed to.
Occasionally clients living overseas would like their advisor to fly out to meet them and their children. This can usually be arranged but it is helpful if you can discuss this possibility with our administrator when you make the initial contact. If you are in the UK, you may like to meet your advisor face to face or you may prefer to conduct the whole process via email/telephone/Skype. The choice is yours. Your advisor will set to work for you, will keep you informed of progress and will respond to any further thoughts or questions you may have. If you have asked for guidance on possible schools, she will let you have the results of her research and you may ask any questions you like until you have the place you seek.
The Premier Service is entirely flexible and your advisor will support you in whatever ways you need throughout the process of school application or negotiation with schools or in whatever ways you require.
How much does it cost?
The fee for The Good Schools Guide Premier Service is £1,500. This covers up to two days personal contact, individualised research and consultation. School visits with you or on your behalf may be charged as extra. Overseas visits will be priced on a case by case basis. Additional work is priced at £500 per day or £120 per hour.
NB If you would like your advisor to visit you overseas or if you think you may like your advisor to accompany you on school visits or visit on your behalf, please ensure you mention this in your enquiry.
