The ten-minute massage sessions were introduced at Sheffield's Hartley Brook Primary School to help calm down pupils after lunch breaks.
Pupils massaging other pupils? Opinion is divided - some parents are outraged and have removed their children from the sessions, others think it's wonderful. One mother pointed out an obvious "if they want to calm the kids down how about they do something else and stop fizzy drinks".
Head of the 550-pupil school, Mrs Hobson, said: 'It makes such a difference to the way the children calm down and get focused on their work.
