SEN Statement

We are an area Comprehensive school. We aim to meet the learning needs of all our students providing they can access out curriculum with suitable support and/or differentiation. We have the LAIR - Learning Access Inclusion Resource. This excellent facility is well used delivering specialist support and part of the differentiated curriculum. We are inclusive and are open between 8-00 and 4-30 Monday - Thursday and until 4 on Friday.
We also have the BEST (Behaviour Emotional Support Team) suit of 3 rooms. We work together as a Student Support Team to ensure that all our students achieve to their very best regardless of their barrier to learning. We offer social opportunities at breaks and lunchtime and a homework club after school
We are committed to increasing the skills of all teachers thus ensuring full access to the curriculum. To this end we offer twilight training sessions twice a term.
