Special Education Needs Survey

SEN Statement

Based on the principles of Rudolph Steiner the school admits children with a broad range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. These may stem from social deprivation, a developmental disorder or an autistic spectrum disorder. All children have a statement of Special Educational Needs. The academic ability, of the children and those students on post 16 training courses, ranges from average to moderate learning difficulties.

Our aim is to provide an education that allows all students to achieve to the best of their ability physically, emotionally, academically and spiritually. We have small classes and small residential units with live-in houseparents who work together with teaching staff to provide a 24-hour curriculum.

Understanding the road risks in your local area

As many of us do, AXA Insurance and Road Safety Analysis believe that one child casualty on Britain’s roads is too much.

The data is presented by local area in order to aid the understanding of risk – it’s not just about killed or seriously injured, but about any incident reported to the police. Although road safety issues may arise due to a myriad of different reasons including proximity to busy roads and local speed limits, schools play a pivotal role in mitigating these risks by investing time in road safety education programmes.
