Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.

Special Education Needs

Based on the principles of Rudolph Steiner the school admits children with a broad range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. These may stem from social deprivation, a developmental disorder or an autistic spectrum disorder. All children have a statement of Special Educational Needs. The academic ability, of the children and those students on post 16 training courses, ranges from average to moderate learning difficulties. Our aim is to provide an education that allows all students to achieve to the best of their ability physically, emotionally, academically and spiritually. We have small classes and small residential units with live-in houseparents who work together with teaching staff to provide a 24-hour curriculum.
