The College maintains a very strong academic record despite having an open access admissions policy. Most students are on advanced level courses (A level or BTEC National) and 100 are level 2 students aiming at advanced courses over 3 years. SEN Statement

The College offers full support for all students who attain the entry criteria. Students are asked about special educational or physical needs at their advisory interview prior to their start at college.
All students have a Personal Tutor who makes arrangements for the student to access any additional support they may need while at college. The Personal Tutor also teaches the students so there is ample opportunity for student and tutor to talk.
Extra support is available in the Skills Improvement Centre for literacy, numeracy and IT and all subjects hold weekly clinics.
Counselling is available on four days of the week and the college has a Health Visitor and Welfare Officer.
The Examinations Officer liaises with the examination boards for students with special examination requirements.
The college has disabled access to most of its accommodation and provides specialist toilet facilities.
