What The Good Schools Guide says

Head

Since January 2021, Stuart Clark. Previously head at Port Glasgow High School, his first headship. Before that, deputy head at Dunoon Grammar. Has been teaching for 15 years and specialises in modern studies and history.

Entrance

Incredibly popular school – very difficult to get a place if not in catchment, though a small number of placing requests are successful. Feeder primary schools are Mearns Primary, Eaglesham Primary, Kirkhill Primary and Calderwood Lodge Primary.

The local council runs buses from Eaglesham and Waterfoot at no extra cost to parents.

If thinking of moving to the area, be prepared to pay a premium; house prices are continuing to rise.
