Special Education Needs
We cater for mild dyslexia and literacy difficulties and mild dyscalculia. Dependent on the needs of the individual child, we will assess and arrange a programme of support either before school or some withdrawal and in-class group work during the school day. This support is delivered by our SENCO and/or the class teacher in either small groups, pairs or on a one to one arrangement. In addition, a qualified teaching assistant, under the guidance of the class teacher and/or SENCO, often supports the individual. Teachers receive training on how to resource for children with learning difficulties and how to adapt their teaching within the classroom.
