Six places for babies aged 6-18 months into kindergarten; 14 places for toddlers and 24 for ‘ducklings’ of between 2 and 3 years. The infants’ school comprises nursery from 3+ to year 2 and is academically selective: the school states that 'children are assessed to ensure their learning is up to date and at a stage where they can take advantage of everything the school has to offer.' There are usually up to 12 places available at nursery, then 30 places in reception, which is now the main point of entry. Exceptional boys might be given a deferred place at the junior school for year 3. Places occasionally emerge higher up the school.
