Anthony Nemecek

Formerly Director of the Educational Advisory Service for the Fulbright Commission, Anthony co-authored and continues to update the Good Schools Guide publication Uni in the USA.  Based in Bath and now in private practice, Anthony works with individual families across the globe, schools in the UK, serves as a counsellor for US applications at the Lycee Française and Epsom College, and several schools in Russia.

Clients are offered an initial 2 to 4 hour consultation at £200 per hour (inclusive of travel inside London only). Thereafter, (or without the initial consultation, if preferred), clients may then choose to hire Anthony on retainer.

Initial 2-4 hour consultation: £200 per hour (+ any travel)
Package prices on request.

NB Anthony doesn't quote specific rates because many clients prefer to hire him for multiple years as well as, on occasions, at the last minute. In general, Antony’s fees range from about £7,500 to £15,000 (can include escorting student on US university tour).

Eileen Penman

A California native, Eileen moved to London in 1990 to work as a college counsellor at The American School in London.  During her 16 years at ASL, Eileen served as chair of the ECIS Guidance Committee for 10 years, organising professional development programs for counsellors in international schools and speaking regularly at the annual conferences of CIS and OACAC.  In 2006 she was given the ECIS award for Promotion of International Education.

Eileen left ASL in 2006 to work as a consultant, based in Cambridge.  She continues to work with students applying to universities in the US and UK, as well as representing the College Board’s interests in Europe [NB: College Board owns the SAT].  In recent years she has served as a long term consultant at St John’s International School in Waterloo, The International School of Brussels, and The International School of Prague.

Students tend to be full of questions even if they are “experienced” so the consultation is guided by what they want to learn and discuss.

Initial 2 hour consultation: £400 (+ any travel)
Retainer: £7,500 for US or UK applications or both
£4,000 (if for UK university application only)
£4,000 for UK application only (includes all of the services below applicable to UCAS applications).
£7,500 – serves as retainer (whether in last couple of months right up to deadline or for the two to three years before applications are due). May include only US applications or a combination of both US and UK applications (may include any and all of the above services – unlimited hours of talk, advice, essay or personal statement guidance, application writing (UCAS, Common Ap and/or supplemental application sections), sorting out references, scholarship applications, tests (SAT scheduling etc), soup to nuts starting immediately and going through the entire application process). All inclusive of services as above, whether for US or UK applications or both.
