PWC have been running apprenticeships long enough for them to be well accepted, and for an apprenticeship to be as good a way of getting in as a degree. In 2013 they wanted to increase the number of Degree level apprenticeships and so they started running the "Flying Start" programme. The website is clear and informative and they appear to be encouraging students to apply, posting a link and even a telephone number for Henley Business School. Perhaps unsurprisingly considering their profession, the approach is neat and tidy and the "Flying Start" looks to be underpinned by good solid groundwork.

You will very rapidly be part of building real IT applications; expect to be living out of a suitcase near whichever client you are working for. If you have ambitions to move into their mainstream consulting business, make sure that you understand what this takes: their recruitment into this area is very Oxbridgey, and we are not clear how an IT apprentice could come up-to-status.
