What the school says...

Skinners Academy is a school for boys and girls aged 11-19 in the Woodberry Down community, North Hackney, providing a world class education in a state-of-the-art building. Opened in 2010, the Academy is supported by the Skinners Company, who are looking forward, with great enthusiasm, to their Academy becoming the heart and the hub of the local community.

'Be the best you can' is the Academys ethos and our enterprise culture, designed to equip pupils with what they need to achieve success in everyday life, influences all that we do. This is part of what makes us stand out as an Academy which cultivates the whole child and within the past few years, we have worked with more than 50 local, national and international employers as well as other educational establishments and international organisations, so that our students can benefit from professional industry expertise.

We provide a state-of-the-art virtual learning environment (VLE): a one-stop online portal where learning can be supported and accessed by students and parents 24 hours a day.
In September 2015, the Academy will open its new aspirational and high achieving Sixth Form Centre and we are welcoming applications from Year 11 pupils in the 2014-2015 academic year.

Our sixth form offers a wide range of courses, both academic and vocational, taught by inspirational and dedicated teachers. We shall also provide a dedicated sixth form centre where students can both socialise and undertake individual study. In this environment, students can achieve highly on the condition that they work hard and remain committed to their studies. With a wide array of extracurricular activities, excellent UCAS guidance and well respected careers education, information advice and guidance (accessible to all pupils in their time with us), our sixth formers are given an excellent platform for future success.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
