Entrance examination for The Godolphin and Latymer School consists of: 1 paper of 1.20 hrs in English (Writing and Reading) and 1.15 in Maths. The exam is in January, for entry the following September.

Since January 2009, Mrs Ruth Mercer BA (50s). A grammar school girl from Preston, she read history at Bedford College, trained as a teacher at Oxford, and began her teaching career at a state school in Liverpool. Arrived at Godolphin & Latymer as deputy head in 1998, took up a headship at Northwood College where she stayed for seven years, then back to Godolphin, this time in the top job.
