What the school says...

Tettenhall College is a wonderful independent day and boarding school for girls and boys aged 2 – 18 years of age.

Tettenhall College offers a remarkable opportunity for your child’s education, providing an exceptional learning environment. We aim to inspire and nurture our pupils, encouraging them to achieve their full potential with an emphasis on an education that develops the whole person both in and beyond the classroom.

In Preparatory School, a child’s suitability is assessed during their taster day or taster session in Nursery/ Pre-School. Children looking to join in our Reception class or above will complete a number of informal assessments during the course of the day.

Children wishing to join the Senior School at Tettenhall College into Years 7, 8 and 9 will be invited to attend the College Entrance Assessment. For pupils joining the College from outside the UK our Admissions team will be happy to explain how assessments are completely remotely.

Entry to Year 12 is determined by GCSE results (or equivalent), an academic assessment, school reports, and a successful interview with the headmaster.

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
