Since September 2014, Mr Alan Mottershead MA (Oxon) PGCE (50s), previously head of Trinity School in Carlisle for 12 years. English degree and PGCE from Oxford. Returning to his roots - his second teaching post was at Canon Slade. This is his third headship. Married to Ann (whom he met at Oxford); they have three grown up children. He's a member of the Soil Association and Woodland Trust, likes fell-walking and river swimming, as well as gardening and orchard planting, and his favourite place is the National Gallery in
Special Education Needs
We believe that every child is uniquely a creation of God and as such should be cared for as that unique and special person. We acknowledge that any pupil may have special educational needs at some point during their schooling. We aim to provide both short and long term support. We have set up a number of strategies for our pupil's benefit in order to allow full access to the National Curriculum and allow them to reach their full potential academically, emotionally and socially.
