Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.

Special Education Needs

A number of students may experience temporary learning difficulties throughout their school career, whilst some will have on-going special needs. At Conyers we are commited to retaining all students in mainstream classes under the supervision of subject teachers. Close collaboration between subject staff and the SEN co-ordinator ensures appropriate provision, sometimes with additional in class support from a teaching assistant. Mr Lawton is the team leader for the school's Learning Support centre, which ensures close liaison with primary schools to provide smooth transition for students already identified as having a special need. Students may also be referred for assessment to LS teachers at any time during their time at the school. The team maintains the register of students with SEN and co-ordinates the regular up-dating of this and all other related assessments/records. Extensive liaison with outside agencies including local authority medical and social services is another important aspect of the support given to students by the team. The school's SEN policy is fully compliant with the legal requirements of The Special Educational Needs and Discrimination Act of 2002. The governing body is pleased to confirm the success of the SEN policy for the year 2004/05, and will review SEN provision routinely this year. If you have any further queries or would like to see a copy of the full policy, please contact the school.
