What the school says...
Academy convertor - September 2011, a merger between Filsham Valley School and The Grove. Sponsored by East Sussex la, BT and the University of Brighton.
Filsham Valley School was inspected in March 2005 and was found to be an improving school. The headteacher's leadership was described as 'very good'. We are pioneering curriculum development work in the locality and are developing a distinctive business and enterprise character. We are fully inclusive and also have a special facility for pupils with sensory and physical needs.
Our school is a modern and forward looking school with an enthusiastic and united staff team. We are committed to 'succeeding together' and 'releasing entrepreneurial potential'. Filsham is Flying!!

Special Education Needs
Filsham Valley School has a special facility for pupils with sensory and physical needs. Provision within the special facility includes: speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, swimming, a visual impairment unit and a medical room. Pupils have access to literacy and numeracy teaching, the Youth Awards Scheme, social skills lessons and a nurture group facility.
