What the school says...

Greenfields School is an independent, non-denominational, day and boarding school on the edge of the Ashdown Forest that services children from 2 to 18. It has a Montessori based Pre-school & Reception class, followed by Infant, Junior, Senior, 6th Form and EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classes. Greenfields utilises a unique study method which ensures children can apply what they learn for use in life - not just to pass examinations. It has a strong moral code and zero tolerance on bullying, drugs and alcohol. Situated in beautiful grounds, with its adventure playground backing into the Ashdown Forest itself, the school is a safe and wonderful place to learn.

The main difference between Greenfields and other schools is the unique teaching method it uses. This method (Study Technology) isolates the barriers preventing or hindering a child from learning and then provides precise tools to deal with them. Its use allows any child of any ability to learn anything. The school also applies a strong moral code (THE WAY TO HAPPINESS Booklet) ensuring happy students, no bullying, no drugs and successful graduates.

All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
