Since 2015, Simon Henderson MA PGCE, previously head of Bradfield College. Educated at Winchester College, followed by Brasenose College, Oxford, where he read history. Teaching career started at Windsor Boys’ School, thence to Eton in 2001, where he was a deputy housemaster and head of history, and on to Sherborne School in 2009 as deputy head (academic). Married to Ali, with four young children the eldest of whom is at Eton. Describes himself as a Queens Park Rangers supporter (‘a lesson in misery’) and a lover of the outdoors, sport and time spent with friends and family. A teacher to his core and still teaches a bit of history. Parents described him as ‘very, very down to earth, not pompous, not elitist’.
