The Snack Shack – an enterprise initiative by years 5 and 6 – was in action when we visited. ‘Exciting but not unusual,’ said a pupil. Quizzes, drama competitions, clubs etc mean there’s pretty much always something going on, though – critically for some of these pupils – there are also dedicated quieter spaces both outside and in. Since September 2015, Lawrence Collins BSc PGCE MA FRGS FCCT (40s), previously deputy head and before that head of geography and director of ICT and e-learning at Lincoln Minster School. A ball of energy and natural storyteller, he grew up in West Yorkshire, attending the local grammar. Geography degree from Bristol; PGCE from Exeter; MA in education from Bishop Grossteste University College, Lincoln.
