Special Education Needs
Our school is an independent specialist school for day and residential youngsters 11 – 18 whose mainstream schooling has broken down. It is set in 32 acres of parkland on the edge of the historic town of Sevenoaks and accommodates students from all over the country. There are no more than 8 pupils in our classes and a team of Teacher Assistants & Care Staff complement the Specialist Teachers. Our children come here as a result of the trauma of abuse, horrendous bullying, bereavement or illness. Our one Aim – to rebuild damaged lives – is achieved by our specialised approach to education. We believe …… • In our youngsters until they can believe in themselves • Happy people make good learners • Change is possible, success is mandatory • Qualifications are a good amour in life • Shadows of the past must not be allowed to shade the future
