Since January 2015, Lee Glaser, previously deputy head for five years. Read maths at Liverpool University before qualifying as a chartered accountant with Coopers and Lybrand, and then teaching at Millfield School as senior master and director of sport.
Results are sound considering the non-selective intake: 57 per cent A*-B and 27 per cent A*/A at A level in 2015. Forty-nine per cent A*/A at GCSE. IB diploma average score was 32.
Special Education Needs
The Learning Support department is staffed and resourced to meet the needs of individual pupils with a range of learning difficulties. The department is an integral part of the academic and pastoral system of the school and its policies and practices ensure a common philosophy in support of the school's aim - that all pupils are equally valued, irrespective of ability.
