Special Education Needs
SEN provision takes many forms at Deanery. Following the authorities Audit, teacher observation and parental concerns a child will be assessed. A baseline is established to ascertain the child's needs in reading, writing, speaking and listening and mathematics. Provision: Precision Teaching - Reading and Mathematics Direct Teaching - Reading Reading Groups - Targetting children, scoring 2/3 on the reading strand. Speaking and Listening - Targetting children scoring 2/3 on the sp & list. strand Neuro-physiological group - Children who have poor co-ordination/concentration
