What the school says...

We are an improving school on the outskirts of Barnstaple with a very warm, friendly and dedicated staff that work extremely hard. We are striving to continually raise standards through a broad and rich curriculum that seeks to discover every child's special qualities and talents. The building has become very run down but is currently undergoing a transformation costing well over a million pounds with the addition of 3 new classrooms , new offices, a new purpose built library, a new playground and a landscaping project set to transform the grounds. Please do come and have a look, we welcome visits from prospective families. ...Read more

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.

Special Education Needs

We are a fully inclusive school with a highly experienced Special Needs Coordinator who is also a fully trained Reading Recovery teacher. We believe wholeheartedly in the benefits of inclusion in all but a tiny minority of cases and enjoy the enrichment that our SEN children bring to the school. A fully equipped toilet for the disabled is currently being installed although we do still have a few classrooms in huts without full disabled access until our new building is completed. The main building and grounds will be fully accessible on completion of the project.
