What the school says...
The school serves a settled residential area to the north of the town. Many pupils achieve highly in the three core subjects English, mathematics and science. Facilities are good with two ICT suites, two halls, a Design Technology room and an instrumental music practice room. There is a before and after school care club, a wide range of sporting opportunites, a school choir and a school orchestra.

Special Education Needs
The school provides general SEN support to pupils assessed to be at 'School Action' and 'School Action Plus' within the SEN Code of Practice. Pupils with a statement of SEN are provided in line with the requirements of the Statement, supported by external specialist teacher advice. There is a well establisd 'Gym Trail' to support dyspraxic pupils and a Teaching Assistant has expertise in supporting pupils with language delay. Most pupils on the SEN register make at least two levels progress over the four years.
