What the school says...
Howells School, Llandaff (GDST), is Wales leading non-denominational, academic school for girls aged 3 to 18 and boys aged 16-18, and has a proven track record of success in public examinations.
Howell's School puts a great value on a rich and varied life outside of the classroom, and the list of extra-curricular activities that students take part in is seemingly endless, as well as endlessly diverse, running from Archery to Zumba. The extensive Enrichment Programmes, together with impressive Wellbeing and Laureate Programmes, make Howell’s a special place to learn and develop in an exciting, creative and nurturing environment. The school’s strong Leadership Team; talented and dedicated teaching and support staff; wonderful young people and committed and interested parents are what make Howell's unique.
'We teach our students how to think and work. This starts, of course, in the Nursery with developing a child's emotional intelligence. It continues in the Junior School by talking to the children about how their brain works and in the Senior School and College by encouraging students to think about their multiple intelligences and how best to use them all in order to improve their performance. This is something we feel passionately about and will continue develop in our school. As the Principal of Howell's School, Llandaff GDST I am reminded daily, that an outstanding educational experience can ensure the best possible start to a young person's life. I am passionate about raising bursary funds at Howell's to ensure that as many young people as possible benefit from the best possible education and life chances regardless of their background.' ...Read more
