Special Education Needs

The school employs a full-time support teacher, who is also the SENCo. The support teacher holds a diploma in Continuing Professional Development for work done in the areas of dyslexia and speech and language. She also holds AMBDA status. The school is 'dyslexia friendly'. The school has been a pilot school, delivering a multi-agency DCD programme, devised by the County. This is currently delivered to two KS2 groups and to KS1. Having attended conferences on ADHD and autism, we can cater for children exhibiting these difficulties. There is one pupil who has a Statement of SEN for "moyamoya". She has LSA support.
