What the school says...
The Cavendish is a friendly school for girls aged 3 to 11. It is situated near Regents Park, in Camden Town, with its excellent transport links. The school is inclusive and encourages diversity.
With strong yet informal links between home, school and the local community we pride ourselves on the high level of our pastoral care and attention to each child's individual needs.
We maintain manageable class sizes and high teacher-pupils ratios so that the foundations of a good education and effective study habits are laid from the beginning. Through a combination of a broad and balanced curriculum, personalised learning and much specialised teaching, our pupils flourish and gain entry, frequently with scholarships, to top senior schools at 11+.

Special Education Needs
Staff at the Cavendish school pride themselves on the level of personalised learning they provide for all, whether pupils have areas in which they are particularly able or talented, or have specific learning difficulties. Two experienced and highly qualified SEN/learning support teachers work in class, supporting individuals or groups; they also support individuals or small groups out of class. There are children in school who work one-to-one with learning support assistants and children who have EHCPs. Teachers teach from lesson plans which identify children across the spectrum from those who are gifted and talented in that particular subject to those who are SEN. Plans are differentiated to meet six individual categories of need. The Cavendish School values what each and every child brings to the learning community.
