Headmistress

Since 2006, Mrs Susan Bourne BSc (50s). Read chemistry at Manchester University. Previously deputy head of the Old Vicarage School in Richmond and taught chemistry in both the state and independent sector. ‘I still love teaching and teach the year 6 science lessons.’ The sort of sensible woman you could rely on in an emergency, her calm demeanour permeates the whole school.

Married to a management consultant (‘he’s my anchor’) with three grown up daughters (Latymer Upper, Queen’s Gate and Godolphin & Latymer), she took time out while based in Geneva and Paris with a young family so knows what...

Special Education Needs

We provide onsite specialist learning support for children with specific learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyspraxia or dyscalculia. Individual Education Plans are written for pupils identified as having special needs, including those who are gifted and talented. These are accessible to all teaching staff and updated regularly.
