Headmistress: Since 2001, Mrs Carole Jenkinson BSc PGCE (50s). Varied career, including time as ski rep, with stints at International Tribune in Paris and British Council. Started her teaching career at Northcote Lodge. Universally respected and admired by parents; everyone we spoke to described her in glowing terms. She exudes calm wisdom. Very knowledgeable about senior schools of every hue and spends a significant proportion of her time visiting potential schools up and down the country....

Special Education Needs

The school provides support for children with mild learning difficulties. There is provision for extra classes targetted at children with minor developmental difficulties. The school has its own SEN specialist who will advise on the most appropriate form of support within the classroom as well as taking pupils out for individual lessons.
