What the school says...
Caldicott is a traditional boys prep school where most start as day boys and then board for their final two years. The school is set in 40 acres of wonderful grounds and boasts fantastic facilities, especially the new Centenary Hall and new state of the art Science Labs and IT Suites. Caldicott has a strong academic and sporting history, but music, drama and art are also thriving. The school strives to turn out confident, well mannered boys who have really enjoyed their days at prep school. Most boys leave to go on to Eton, Harrow, Radley and the other major public schools ...Read more
Thank the school
Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.
This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.
Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.
What The Good Schools Guide saysCricket and rugby are a big deal here with up to eight teams (is there really an ‘H’ team?) ready to take on all comers at all levels ... On the wall of the school dining room we were shown the honours boards and there he was, Nicholas Clegg, the only head boy in the school’s history to hold the post jointly ...Mr D was not in his happy place when we asked him ...
Since 1998, Mr Simon Doggart BA (50s), educated at Winchester and read history at Cambridge. School-mastering is in his blood - his father was a legendary figure at Winchester for many years - and he previously taught history at Eton, where he also ran the cricket. Friendly, relaxed even, he is nevertheless utterly professional and we doubt he’s ever off duty.
Special Education Needs
At Caldicott we have a full time Head of Learning Support and three part time teachers. We currently help boys with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and E.S.L. Pupils on the Learning Support Register take part in the full curriculum and are withdrawn from class for one or two individual lessons per week focusing on Literacy, Maths and/or Study Skills.
