What the school says...

Sunninghills Accelerated Reading Programme continues to make a great difference by boosting pupils confidence and enjoyment of reading. Sunninghill tracks progress for all classes using a Raising Attainment Plan and computerised tracking system. Research this year has shown that not only is Sunninghill helping many children achieve better than predicted results, but they are also making significant improvements in baseline ability scores year on year.

After the success of The Tempest production at The Lighthouse Theatre in Poole, as part of the National Shakespeare Schools Festival; the largest youth festival in the U.K., Sunninghills musicians were able to shine with their Christmas Carol recital, which included the School Orchestra, Ukulele Band and Choir. This was recorded and broadcasted by BBC Radio Solent and the standard of musicianship was complimented by the producer.

This term got off to a flying start with Forms 1 to 8 joining in the DASP Olympic Torch handover and the Sunninghill creation of a human timeline in Dorchester. We are also developing the modern pentathlon with new fencing and pistol shooting clubs. To assist our equally busy parents we have started a breakfast club.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
