Special Education Needs
We have a learning support co-ordinator in school plus a designated special educational needs co-ordinator for the early years. Other staff are also responsible for special needs/learning support teaching. The basic requirements of the National Curriculum can be adapted so that the form teachers, with support, can work with the child to follow our usual courses of work in school. Wherever possible this support is carried out within the classroom and may be on a group or an individual basis. If necessary the child may be withdrawn for individual support and the school follows established procedures to seek additional specialised help when required.
