What the school says...

Rowan Gate is a Primary school for pupils with Special Educational Needs. We have a hydrotherapy pool, soft playroom, sensory room and a therapy room which is used by Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists who come into school to assess children and support staff with programmes and work to meet individual children's needs.

We are supported by a full time School Nurse who operates in a well-equipped medical room.

The school has 13 classrooms, splash room, music room, food technology room and a library. We have a large school hall, which is a multi-purpose area.

The school has extensive grounds for outdoor educational and play pursuits, including playgrounds with adventure and climbing play equipment. We have a sensory courtyard and a wheelchair swing. The school shares Multi Use Games Area.

The school is committed to the benefits on creative therapies and pupils are able to access Art therapy, Music Therapy, Drama Therapy, Massage Therapy and Theraplay.

We have a parents room which is used by the pre-school group and parents who wish to meet staff.

The school works in partnership with a local mainstream primary school to offer pupils the opportunity to work alongside peers in a mainstream school.

We have an open door policy for parents and carers and employ a Teacher to support and help families.

We offer a wide range of lunchtime clubs including a range of sports and creative activities.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
