St Clare's, Oxford is an international day and boarding college located in elegant north Oxford. The college has a worldwide reputation for expertise in providing the IB Diploma and embraces internationalism and academic excellence as its core values. The success of the school can be put down to a combination of factors - a stimulating IB curriculum, excellent teachers and a supportive environment where young adults are able to flourish.
A St Clare’s student is independent-minded, inquisitive, and demonstrates a life-long passion for learning. They are currently ranked in the top 5 UK IB schools (2022 league table, schools with cohort of over 70 students) and their students have achieved an average points score of 38 with a pass rate of 100% over the past 3 years, significantly higher than the world average score of 31 and the world pass rate of 79%. Many of their students have gone on to study at prestigious Universities worldwide, including Oxford University, UCL, John Hopkins University, and Utrecht University. Their expert Careers and Higher Education team offer specialist guidance on University applications and career paths throughout the two years of study.
The college prides itself in providing an atmosphere that is informal and friendly, encouraging personal responsibility and international friendships. Over 40 different nationalities are represented, including a significant number of British students. The campus is made up of 27 large Victorian and Edwardian houses to which purpose-built facilities have been added including a science and teaching block, an art studio and modern student accommodation. Their college is not a gated campus: based in leafy, suburban North Oxford, students benefit from being part of a welcoming local community which is enriched by their youthful joie de vivre. With the city centre within walking distance of the campus, learning and cultural discovery often take place in the museums, universities, and parks that the beautiful city of Oxford has to offer.
