What the school says...

We actively welcome students with Special Educational Needs. The small and friendly nature of the College allows all students to thrive. We have had particular success with students on the Autism spectrum and those with anxiety.

EIC is calm and behaviour excellent despite having very few rules. It is easy to find a quiet space, and students of all ages can leave the premises. There is no dress code.

We have an ethos of choice not force. students can study as many or as few subjects as they like. All aspects of school life have diversity in mind, with students being encouraged but not forced to take part in extra-curricular activities, and games provision for GCSE students offering gentler options.

With a maximum of twelve students in a class, relationships between students and the teacher are strong. Students who are retaking their GCSEs or A levels are welcomed.

Every student is assessed to see whether they need extra time, identifying unrecognised needs.

A parent recently described us as filling a niche between a mainstream school and a special school. This has been recognised by Ealing Council, who pay the full fees of some of our students who have an EHCP.

Please note: Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
