We witnessed a studious biology lesson in the small lab, where a group of three were learning the function of enzymes in the digestive system, and at the same time sensed the aroma of freshly baked muffins wafting from the food tech kitchens, as if to test the theory. Since 2018, Dan Goldstraw, BSC Hons PGCE, (late 40s). Enjoyed a previous life as a left-armed fast bowler, both pro, semi-pro and coach, before entering teaching via a degree at Cardiff University in geology and geophysics and a PGCE at Southampton. Worked as a geography teacher for eight years in inner city comprehensives in the Southampton area, as well as Pilgrim’s Prep school, Winchester.
