What says..

'We also teach leisure skills’, said the head, ‘how to sit and enjoy a book or how to enjoy the pool table’, and we witnessed a trio in a structured game of Monopoly.  Music is a treat in a secluded mixing studio in the grounds. There is no typical Tadley child, and their individuality is evident as you meet them, one boy bounded up to us with a big ‘halloo’, another enjoyed acting as doorman and a third hurried away on his own agenda ...

Since 2016, Lesley Walkden, BAQTS (early 40s). Took a degree in biology at the University of Winchester, before embarking on a teaching career as an early years specialist in a mainstream primary school in Newbury. In her own words, ‘then I ran away’ to learn to teach in Indonesia, acquired the language and opened an early years unit at the British International School in Jakarta. A move to Thailand and Dulwich College School in Phuket was cut short by the 2004 tsunami, after which she was employed in a similar capacity in Shanghai.
