What the school says...

A Free School opened summer 2011.

What the parents say...

Before you listen to the above parent stop and think and get all the facts. Ark conway although a new school, are actually doing really well. I think making comments like the above only 2 months after opening is very unfair. The children do reading, english, maths every day, they also do performing arts, p.e on most days, swimming and french, on top of other subjects, so i don@t know where the above parent is getting there information from. All i can say, is that if your child is not ready, maybe you should try also reading at home with them, as they do get 2 books every week to learn, also there flash cards. My child is doing perfectly fine, from starting in september and can already read. Its all about home to school learning, so before going putting horrible untrue messages up look closer too home first.

I was exited to learn a new free school was opening in my area. Much to my disappointment, this school is very much like any other council school. If your child is more able chances are, they will be bored and will go unchallenged. A lot of time is spent on play and singing, but not much on reading, math and science. If you are just looking for a space, then Ark Conway is fine, if you are looking for a school that will challenge and help your child reach full potential, this school falls well short of that mark.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
