Entrance
All students must have an EHCP. As well as looking at the student’s suitability for the colllege, staff also consider the risks the student poses and their potential impact on the rest of the cohort. Not suitable for students with mobility issues or those with a tendency to abscond. Those with complex mental health issues or criminal pasts may not be accepted.
Transition is planned by working closely with parents for up to 18 months before a student starts. One parent explained, ‘The application process was very thorough.
