Thank the school
Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.
This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.
Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.
What The Good Schools Guide saysSpeech therapists work within the classroom, or individually, as required, using a variety of methods: PODD communication books, which work at the level of phrases, and expand the child’s communication efforts from single words for basic needs to include questions and comments (One teacher was delighted at her pupil’s progress in formulating phrases, until she read what was written!). Widely used in the classroom and across school are visual timetables with Boardmaker symbols and Makaton signing.

Special Education Needs
We are an independent co-educational day school providing specialised education for up to 90 pupils aged 11 to 19 years with an autism spectrum disorder, autism, Asperger syndrome and associated social and communication difficulties. At Eagle House School (Sutton) we aim to be much more than just a school. Our specialist teaching offers an unique approach to working with learners with autism and Asperger syndrome. We believe we develop the global needs of our children, not just their education. Our children and young people are supported by an experienced, well trained multidisciplinary staff team supported in the classroom by psychologists, occupational therapists and speech & language therapists. We use the Eagle House approach to autism which involves designing our intervention models using the Ziggurat approach, structured teaching (the TEACCH approach) and positive behaviour support.
