What the school says...

An Ofsted "Outstanding" school since it opened, dedicated to providing the highest academic, sporting, music and arts standards to all of our pupils.

St George's Preparatory School and Little Dragons Nursery is based in Boston, Lincolnshire. We are a small, family-run establishment where the important traditional values of courtesy, consideration and respect matter enormously and sit perfectly alongside our creative, exciting and challenging activities.

Our children have a strong sense of right and wrong and behavioural incidents are rare due to our effective pastoral system and simple behaviour management policy.

We believe that every child should experience success every day - we cherish and nurture each child and are as proud of their achievements as they are!

No amount of words can portray our wonderful environment and happy, busy pupils, so please do come and visit us to experience our unique atmosphere and to see our boys and girls at work and at play!

What the parents say...

I have two children at this school, one in Little Dragons and one in Year one, they both started this school year. Previous to St Georges they were at another independent school, that wasn't meeting their needs. St George's has been fantastic for my children, and they are both so happy to go to school, previous to this the oldest did not like school. St George's challenges them academically and nurtures them too. Our child in nursery can already read and write simple sentences and she is still stimulated in the nursery environment. St George's recognises the individual child and provides a challenging, stimulating and nurturing environment. We are so happy that we found this school, the staff are passionate about ther jobs and so the school provides an excellent education to the smallest baby in Dragons Nest to the older children in the preparatory school. My oldest has gone from hating school (when she was at another independent school) to absolutely loving it, it's amazing to see the transformation. This school works hard for the children and their parents. We highly recommend it.

I wish I had gone to a school like this! My daughter whom is 3 attends Little Dragons and she absolutely loves it. The mental and physical stimulation that she gets is excellent. What preschool has an hour physical education everyday. The forest school activities are a child's dream, tree climbing, den making, mud kitchen so much hands on time. My daughter is so happy being outside and has come on leaps and bounds with her confidence and social skills. The small numbers in the classrooms allow each child to progress and develop in there own way and in a way that suits the individual. The children really do thrive here. My son was 18 months when he started Dragon Nest and what a sensitive soul he was. His development has been fantastic he is confident and will happily try new things when before he was always hesitant. I can go to work knowing that both my children are very happy, getting lots of important fresh air and mental stimulation in the classroom.

Our daughter (age 4) and son (19 months) have been attending St George's since June 2012. Daughter started off in the pre-school after transferring from another nursery and in September started in reception within the school itself. She loves going to St George's and cannot wait to get there in the mornings. There are a variety of after-school clubs available and children all have recorder lessons and a forest school session weekly as well as a swimming lesson in the current term. Our son was lucky enough to join the 'Dragon's Nest' nursery when it opened on 18th June 2012 (again after transferring from another nursery). He is very happy here and we are extremely pleased with his progress. I would whole-heartedly recommend St George's Preparatory School, Little Dragons and the Dragon's Nest to anyone with children. The staff are all very dedicated and excellent at their job. Headteacher Mrs Whelan has recently been voted 'Top Teacher' in the recent 'Pride in Boston' awards and their Ofsted award of 'Outstanding' is testament to the hard work and tireless dedication of the staff. It is truly an outstanding school and I believe second to none.

An amazing school! My daughter attends the prep school and in my opinion the small class sizes and relentless enthusiasm of the staff ensures that all the children learn and develop in a way that suits the individual. My son also attends the preschool and loves it. His social skills have improved so much since he started and is growing to be a confident and polite boy. The school building has lots of original features, the grounds include a lovely wooded area, all conducive to the outdoor approach to learning. I would not hestitate to recommend this school. It is my belief that this school is giving children the best start to a lifetime of learning.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
