Seadown School is Child Firsts independent education provision, registered with Ofsted with 'Good' rating, to educate students aged 6 to 16 years and able to offer placements to both residential and day students.
Recognising that education and achievement are the cornerstone of a young persons development, Seadown School aims to instil effective communication skills to enable students to develop their social skills, confidence and respect as self-advocates and in interactions with others. We encourage students to explore, question and challenge, thereby increasing their awareness and understanding of their environment and the wider world.
Seadown School offers a broad and balanced curriculum in core and non-core subjects to gain a range of qualifications including GCSEs, ASDAN qualifications, functional skills and Food Hygiene, Fire Safety and First Aid.
Our highly-trained staff are experienced in working with young people with a variety of educational needs including dyslexia, autistic spectrum, ADHD and BESD and employ effective behavioural management techniques. Where necessary staff offer one-to-one classroom support and provide individualised educational programs.
