What says..

There are clubs for young environmentalists, keen Lego players, aspiring journalists – there’s even a loom bands club. (Although we’re told loom bands are ‘dead and gone’ and ‘Moshi Monsters are back’. We can’t keep up but it seems the school is trying to…). The children we met had friendly interactions with each other and showed a lot of enthusiasm for their education. They said they really liked games, swimming, art, technology and… their teacher. (Aahh!) They were very confident speaking in class – we noted that no-one was hiding at the back...

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.

Other features

All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

What The Good Schools Guide says

Head of junior school

Since January 2018, Amanda Ilhan, previously pre-school and primary school deputy director of the British International School in Istanbul.

There are no tests to gain entry to the nursery or infants’ school; children wishing to enter the juniors would be expected to come and spend a trial day here. The only real assessments of ability would be for entry into year 6, because children in the junior school gain automatic entry to the senior school, so the junior teachers need to be confident that a year 6 child would be capable of progressing here. The school isn’t oversubscribed so there’s a very good chance you’ll be able to get your child in if you can afford the fees.
