What the school says...

Founded in 1847. Situated in the centre of the small West Wales town in the beautiful Tywi Valley, Llandovery College still provides a safe, attractive, well-resourced facility where pupils can develop to their full potential.

It maintains a caring, friendly, relaxed but disciplined atmosphere where pastoral care and academic achievement are the priorities. In all areas pupils are encouraged to participate in a wide range of academic, sporting, outdoor pursuits and cultural activities.

One of the great advantages of being a small school is that nearly every pupil is involved in these activities and whilst there is very little coercion there is a great voluntary movement to join in, encouraged by the well-qualified, enthusiastic staff who monitor and facilitate these areas.

What the parents say...

Working at Llandovery College is an absolute delight. The students here are the most supportive of eachother I have ever experienced; their empathy is commendable. The opportunities here are incredible and all set in beautiful surroundings, with an enormously homely atmosphere. No matter what their ability, children thrive at Llandovery!!!

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
