From our humble beginnings in 1969 around the kitchen table at Copthill Farm, our school has grown steadily and today, Copthill School is a thriving, purpose-built independent school, catering for 300 boys and girls aged between 2 and 11. Principal Jonathan Teesdale is part of the family consortium that owns the school. Set up originally by his mother as a nursery school in 1969 at the family’s farmhouse on their dairy farm, it morphed into a junior school, initially for up to 7-year-olds. It has been at its present site in the corner of the farm since 1991.
