What the school says...
Craigholme Junior School is a happy, friendly school where individuality is nurtured, where academic standards are high and where the broad based Curriculum for Excellence ensures a well-rounded education. The school aims to achieve high academic standards through stimulating teaching, challenging and exciting lessons and first-class resources. Extra-curricular activities extend the curriculum and enrich the lives of our pupils.
The ethos of the Junior School is purposeful and supportive. The moral values of courtesy, consideration and care are explored and discussed through the schools monthly values. Their aim is to provide an environment in which pupils can flourish, confident in each other and in the adults caring for them.
The Head of the Junior School liaises closely with teachers in order to ensure a thorough knowledge of each child. She also liaises closely with the Additional Support staff and is aware of each childs learning needs. Parents are encouraged to meet with the Head of Junior School to discuss any issue relating to their child or the curriculum. ...Read more
