Special Education Needs

The school has a strong commitment to inclusion. Our SEN Coordinator is supported by some teacher time and 6 ESAs. In the main, pupils with SEN are taught in normal classes but there is some extraction for Basic Skill development in Key stage 3. The school is currently developing its strategies to address the needs of those pupils covered by the Disability Discrimination Act. In addition the school is the LEA Centre for those with Visual Impairment. Provision is staffed with 2 teachers and 10 ESAs.
